Carolina RailHawks Announce Open Tryout Dates

Cary, NC (Monday, October 13, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks announced they will hold open tryouts on Saturday December 13th and Sunday December 14th. The tryouts will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with registration on Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Last year, defenders Chris Lemons and Richard Perdomo as well as goalkeeper Brian Levey participated in the tryouts and earned a spot on the 2008 Carolina RailHawks squad. Defender Nathan Zuzga came to tryouts for the second year in a row and also was invited to join the RailHawks for the 2008 season.

The tryouts will take place from 10 AM to 1 PM with registration starting at 8:30 AM on December 13th. The yet to be named Carolina RailHawks head coach and his staff will evaluate all the players thoroughly and determine which potential candidates will get invited to training camp. Space is limited to 50 players and those who are interested in participating should send in their registration early to ensure acceptance into the event. Cost to participate will be $95 dollars.

Space is limited and only the first 50 athletes who sign up will be eligible to take part in the tryouts.

The RailHawks continue to be active in the off-season with work in the community by visiting schools and stressing the importance of staying fit and healthy.
