Vancouver Canadians News Release
(Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club along with valued partner Safeway Canada made a donation of turkeys to more than 100 families in need Friday afternoon. The Salvation Army has been hit hard along with local food banks during our recent economic shift, and stocks at a number of locations are dangerously low.
"We're proud to be able to do this for our community, but also understand that there is a much larger need to help out with a full holiday schedule front and center", says Canadians President Andy Dunn. "We are calling on all of our friends, partners and fans to take a moment and check shelves and try and help our community's food banks and Salvation Army. We are very fortunate to be able to carry on this tradition and hope those families who received turkeys this afternoon can enjoy them with friends and family".
The Vancouver Canadians along with Safeway Canada made a second annual donation to the Salvation Army and will continue to carry on this tradition with our community.
