Former Knights Players All Over MLB Playoffs

FORT MILL, S.C. - October 1, 2008 - As postseason play begins for Major League Baseball, fans will see their fair share of former Charlotte Knights players. The Knights parent club, the Chicago White Sox, had 20 former Knights players active during the teams 1-0 AL Central Championship win over the Minnesota Twins.
The White Sox are likely to feature former Knights Brian Anderson, D.J. Carrasco, Gavin Floyd, Mike MacDougal, Dewayne Wise and Tuesday night's playoff game hero Jim Thome. Several other former Knights could be added to the White Sox roster. Both the White Sox and their division series opponent Tamp Bay Rays have not yet announced their 25 man playoff rosters.
The White Sox coaching staff also features former Knights pitching coach and current bullpen coach Juan Nieves, as well as former Knights hitting coach and current White Sox hitting coach Greg Walker.
There are nine other former Knights who are playing for other clubs in the playoffs.
