
Bluefish Receive Third Award in 2008

Bridgeport, CT - September 5 - Connecticut Magazine's "Best of Connecticut" has recognized the Bridgeport Bluefish as Connecticut's best "Night at the Ballpark" destination. In addition, Connecticut Magazine selected the Ballpark at Harbor Yard to host a "Best of Connecticut" Day. Connecticut Magazine readers selected Connecticut's best in 42 categories including food and drink, nightlife, style and other attractions.
Saturday, September 6 the Bluefish will host the first of three "Best of Connecticut" Days held across the state. The night will feature special "Best of Connecticut" promotions and activities highlighted by a post-game fireworks show. Mystic Seaport will host the second event on September 13 and the third event will be held on September 20 at Lake Compounce.
Earlier in 2008, the Bridgeport Regional Business Council named the Bridgeport Bluefish as the 2008 BRBC Business of the Year. Moffly Publications also named the Bridgeport Bluefish as 'Best Family Time' and honored the Bluefish during the fourth annual "Best of the Gold Coast 2008" event.
Mary-Jane Foster, CEO of the Bluefish, thanked Connecticut Magazine and their readers for the honor and said, "This is really a tribute to our staff who works hard all year long to provide fun and affordable entertainment to kids and their families. I congratulate them and thank our fans for their great support."
