Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they will host auditions for their new dance team called the "Ice Cast" on Tuesday, September 23 at the MassMutual Center. All individuals interested in auditioning will be asked to enter the MassMutual Center through the Falcons Office located on Falcons Way. Participants are asked to arrive by 5:30 pm to register, followed by auditions starting at 6:00 pm.
"This is an exciting time for our organization and the Ice Cast will only add to the level of entertainment we provide to our fans on a nightly basis," said Falcons manager of marketing, entertainment and community relations Jason Gonet. "We have done extensive research in analyzing how a dance team can benefit an organization, and we feel the time is right to introduce a dance team. This will be a group that can assist with our community relations efforts while at the same time enhance our game night operations as well."
Preliminary auditions are set for September 23, followed by final auditions on Saturday, September 27 during the Falcons VIP Fan Fest. The goal of the Ice Cast will be to support the Falcons event presentation efforts at every home game during the 2008-09 season by greeting fans, assisting with on-ice and in-stand promotions, dancing throughout the game, and helping to ensure fans have an outstanding fan experience at the MassMutual Center.
