
Boise Keeps Spokane in Sight

SPOKANE, WA - The Boise Hawks wanted to keep the Indians close in the Northwest League East standings and they did just that with a 6-3 win over Spokane in front of a sell out crowd of 6,832 fans at Avista Stadium. With the loss, the Indians are now six games ahead of Boise in the NWL East with 12 games left. Six of those 12 games are against Boise.
Boise jumped on Spokane early and held on to the win, despite a three run 7th inning by the Indians. Leftfielder Mike Bianucci hit a bomb over the right field wall to score Matt West and David Paisano to make it a 4-3 ballgame.
Indians starter Carlos Pimentel went five innings and picked up the loss. Pimentel gave up three hits and three runs while striking out three.
Tonight$B!G(Js sell out was the Indians seventh of the season.
