Marlies Set New Date For Home Opener

The Toronto Marlies, a proud member of the American Hockey League, announced today that the club has set a new date for their home opener at Ricoh Coliseum against the Binghamton Senators - AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators - to Friday, October 10 at 7:00 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 11 at 4:00 p.m.

The Toronto Marlies updated 2008-09 regular season schedule is listed below. The lone change to the schedule is the home opener date.

Weekend games dominate the Marlies home schedule this season as the team will play a franchise high 33 of their 40 home games on weekend dates. This figure rises by one game from last season's total of 32 weekend dates. All weekday games (including Fridays) begin at 7:00 p.m. with the lone exceptions being the Marlies two regular season school day games on November 26 versus Rochester - AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers - and February 11 versus the Syracuse Crunch - AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets - both starting at 11:30 a.m.
