Cary, NC (Saturday, June 28th, 2008) - The Carolina RailHawks Women beat the Hampton Roads Piranhas 4-1 on Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park. NC State standout Lindsay Vera, Duke midfielder Kendall Bradley, UGA All-American Carrie Patterson and W-League veteran Ali Baker tallied one goal each for the RailHawks. The RailHawks Women controlled most of the match and had many scoring opportunities throughout the evening against a seasoned opponent with more W-League experience. A late goal in the 81st minute denied RailHawks goalkeeper Molly Baird, who had three saves in the match, the opportunity to record her first shutout of the season.
