Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem Avalanche, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Houston Astros, had its final game of three with Winston-Salem rained out Sunday on Ernie Shore Field. A wall of rain whipped through the Triad area around 2:00 with more forecast throughout the afternoon.
A makeup date for the game has yet to be announced.
The Avalanche returns home for a seven-game homestand beginning Monday at 7:07 PM with the Frederick Keys in town. It's a Roanoke Times Dollar Monday.
