Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
After a quick jaunt across state lines to Springfield, Missouri, where the Naturals came face-to-face with the minor league contingency of Cardinals Nation, the Kansas City Royals Double-A affiliate is eagerly awaiting its trip back to Arvest Ballpark where they will attempt to gain a stronghold onto a spot atop the Texas League standings. Coming into the final game of the four-game road trip, the Naturals are tied for first place in the North Division, and an eight-game set against the Tulsa Drillers and the Cardinals will go far in determining the future of the division standings.
The curtain on this, the third homestand of the Naturals inaugural season, rises on Saturday night, with the first of four games against the Tulsa Drillers, the Colorado Rockies Double-A entry. Tulsa is close to the top of the division, and, like the Naturals, have good speed on the basepaths. Saturday night features a special Drawstring Backpack Giveaway for the first 2,500 fans courtesy of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products. Power 105.7 will also be on hand broadcasting live before the game outside the front gates. Game time is 7:00 P.M, and gates will open at 6.
