Dog Days Returns Tomorrow

JUPITER FL - Roger Dean Stadium is pleased to announce that the Dog Days of Summer will be returning for a 7th year during the 2008 Minor League Baseball season. The first (of five) Dog Days of Summer will be held tomorrow when the Palm Beach Cardinals take on the Brevard County Manatees at 6:05 PM. Gates will open at 5:00 PM.

This summer, the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals have once again partnered with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League on their monthly salute to "Man's Best Friend". Dog Days of summer will take place April 12th, May 17th, June 28th, July 26th, and August 23rd.

On each of these nights, dogs will be admitted into the stadium with a $5.00 purchase of a "Peggy Pass". The pass is good for all five Dog Days of Summer dates. All proceeds from the Peggy Pass will benefit the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. Game tickets for dog owners are $8.50 plus tax. For those evenings, in addition to watching exciting Minor League Baseball, dog lovers will have their very own sections of the stadium and many dog-related businesses will be on hand throughout the concourse.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization, receiving no state or federal funding. They provide service to 7,000 cats and dogs each year in the Palm Beach County. Since 1925, Peggy Adams Animal Resue League has made great strides and a large impact in addressing PET overpopulation in Palm Beach County through a variety of services including CAT AND DOG adoptions and LOW-COST spay /neuter programs.
