Majectic Clubhouse Store Grand Opening Saturday

(Allentown, PA) - The Majestic Clubhouse Store, the official retail store of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, will celebrate its Grand Opening at Coca-Cola Park, Saturday, March 1, beginning at 9 a.m. The opening coincides with National Pig Day festivities and the commencement of single-game ticket sales at the ballpark.
"There has been an unbelievable demand for IronPigs merchandise since our logo unveiling last March," exclaimed Merchandise Director Janine Kurpiel. "We are excited to be able to cater to our fans needs by providing literally hundreds of retail options in one of the largest and most expansive retail stores in Minor League Baseball."
The 3,000-square-foot Majestic Clubhouse Store, located adjacent to the AT&T Plaza at Coca-Cola Park, will feature a wide array of items, including official and replica IronPigs jerseys; over 25 styles of caps; dozens of T-shirt and sweatshirt designs; and novelty items such as foam fingers and pig noses.
The Majestic Clubhouse Store mimics the industrial appearance that is present throughout Coca-Cola Park and features an open-grid ceiling along with hardwood and diamond plate steel flooring. The store also contains four point-of-sale locations, helping to alleviate lines during games and busy periods.
Fans can take advantage of two additional retail posts during home games: The Majestic Dugout -- a walk-up, point-and-pick destination; and The Pig Pile Kiosk, which will be located by the Sacred Heart Hospital Kids Zone near the left field corner.
The Majestic Clubhouse Store replaces the IronPigs Merchandise Store located in the Valley Plaza Shopping Center on Catasauqua Road. Neither location will be open on Friday, February 29, in preparation for the Grand Opening on March 1 at Coca-Cola Park.
Last year, the IronPigs announced a partnership with Majestic Athletic, making the Bangor (Pa.) company an Authentic Supplier of the IronPigs. In addition to naming rights agreements at the retail locations within the ballpark, Majestic Athletic will outfit the IronPigs with outerwear and fleece training apparel.
Beginning March 1, the Majestic Clubhouse Store will operate Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Along with the Grand Opening of the Majestic Clubhouse Store, highlights of National Pig Day (March 1) at Coca-Cola Park include single-game ticket sales commencing; a pig roast -- featuring complimentary food and Coca-Cola Park beverages; appearances by the IronPigs mascot Ferrous; and a variety of activities for children including pig crafts, IronPigs tattoos and a chance to pin the tail on Ferrous.
The IronPigs inaugural season, presented by Capital BlueCross, begins on April 3 at PNC Field in Moosic, Pa., against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. The IronPigs return for Opening Day at Coca-Cola Park on April 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the reigning International League champion Richmond Braves.
