
Cottonmouths Sign Former Defenseman, Marakhovski

Columbus Cottonmouths News Release
The Columbus Cottonmouths announced today the signing of former defenseman Roman Marakhovski to a five-game tryout. Marakhovski was a member of the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 Snakes teams when they were members of the Central Hockey League.
Marakhovski spent several seasons in the ECHL and CHL after leaving the Snakes in 2000. He most recently played for the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL last season, posting three points in 37 games. Prior to that, he spent three seasons playing in France.
The Kharkov, Ukraine native will be in uniform tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 22 when the Snakes take on the Richmond Renegades at the Snake Pit.
On Friday, Feb. 22, the first 1,000 fans will receive the third and final set of player cards, courtesy of Carmike Cinemas and NBC 38. On Saturday, Feb. 23, the first 1,000 ladies to the Snake Pit will receive a bobblehead doll of Snakes captain, Craig Stahl, courtesy of Burger King and WTVM.
