Columbus, OH. - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets broke a six-game losing streak by winning 1-0 over the Lincoln Stars Saturday at Nationwide Arena.
Ohio (3-8-3) scored its only goal of the game at 6:53 of the third period when forward Dan Hobbs centering pass to center Tim Hall deflected in off a Lincoln (6-9-2) defenseman. For Hobbs, it was his fourth goal of the season; Rich Leitner was credited with an assist on the play.
Junior Blue Jackets goaltender Pasquale Terrazzano made 35 saves in net for the home team. The win was Ohio's first at home this season; they are now 1-2-2, picking up points in three of five contests.
Stars goaltender Kevin Murdock made 32 saves in a losing effort for the visitors from Nebraska. The Junior Blue Jackets were 0-for-10 on the power play, while Lincoln was 0-for-6.
The two teams will face each other again tomorrow night at the Dispatch Ice Haus. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
