Beef unveil new ownership

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef of United Indoor Football (UIF) is under new guidance. It was announced today that Gridiron Management Group, a Nebraska corporation, has purchased the team. The corporation will be led locally by immediate past UIF Commissioner & Executive Director, Dakota Crow. Crow will serve as team President and General Manager.

Crow is excited about the future. "It is an amazing opportunity for our group and the city of Omaha. The Beef have a long history in indoor football. We are honored to be a part of the Beef's longstanding tradition. We believe in not only putting a quality product on the field but also an outstanding product off the field. We are committed to being a part of the community in every aspect. We look to combine old traditions with new beginnings to make these upcoming seasons the best in Beef history."

Besides Crow, Gridiron Management Group's ownership includes Robert Sprowls and Jeff Sprowls. The father and son businessmen became interested in the Beef toward the end of the 2007 UIF season. "We're extremely excited and proud to be a part of the rich tradition of the Omaha Beef. We look forward to bringing back the glory days of the Beef. We will make sure to do everything in our power to bring an indoor football championship to Omaha and the state of Nebraska." Jeff Sprowls said.

Crow says the Beef are committed to providing the Omaha area with quality leadership. "The Beef family, from players and coaches to front office personnel, will be visible and active throughout the community. We look to work closely with a variety of charitable organizations and civic events."

Malissa Fritz will be the team's Assistant General Manager/Director of Operations. Fritz has previous UIF experience. Brad Green becomes the team's Director of Communications. Green follows Crow to the Beef from the league front office after serving as UIF Communications Assistant last season. Twin brothers Travis and Trevor Johnson will continue working with the team in sales and game day operations.

The Omaha Beef will begin their fourth season (ninth overall) as a member of the United Indoor Football Association in 2008.
