Thunder Releases Two More

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder released two players today, bringing their training camp roster to 21.
The Thunder waived rookie forward Lonny Forrester and second-year defenseman Jason Lepine. Over the weekend, Wichita added forward Brad Thompson. Thompson, who played last year with the UHL's Bloomington PrairieThunder, had an assist in Saturday's 4-2 exhibtion defeat to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. The Thunder must get their roster down to 19 players by Thursday.
The Thunder will open their 16th CHL season at home on Saturday, October 20th versus the Oklahoma City Blazers. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at the Kansas Coliseum.
