
Lions add import DL; release two

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that import defensive lineman Tory Collins has been signed to the team's practice roster.
Collins was most recently in camp with the Chicago Bears with whom he signed as an undrafted free agent this past May.
Collins enjoyed an outstanding four-year stint at Northwestern State in Louisiana ('03-'06) and was one of just eight players in school history to earn All-America honors twice in his career. He was a three-year All-Southland Conference selection and finished his collegiate career with 186 tackles and 33 tackles for loss in 45 games played.
The Lions also announced that receiver Airese Currie and defensive back Zach Norton have been released by the club.
