Green Bay (August 14, 2007) - Two players on the Green Bay Gamblers 2007-08 roster are members of the 21-player roster for the 2007 U.S. Under-18 Select Team. Forward Jake Youso and goalie Aaron Crandall will represent the Gamblers as the squad competes in the 2007 Under-18 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka from August 14-18 in Piestany, Slovakia and Hodonin, Czech Republic.
Youso (International Falls, MN) and Crandall (Lakeville, MN) were chosen from the 2007 USA Hockey Select 17 Player Development Camp, which was held July 7-13 at the National Hockey Center at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota and featured many of America's best hockey players born in 1990.
Youso was part of the two U.S. Under-17 Select Teams that took part in the 2006 Under-17 Three Nations Tournament held in Rochester, N.Y. and helped Team Blue to a first-place finish in the tournament. Crandall finished the Player Development Camp with a 1.00 GAA and .940 save percentage during the week.
