Moose re-sign Bolduc, Fortunus, & Kelly; Sign Dylan Yeo

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have re-signed forward Alex Bolduc, defencemen Maxime Fortunus and Matt Kelly to American Hockey League contracts, while also signing defenceman Dylan Yeo to an AHL deal.

Bolduc, 22, appeared in 32 games last year with the Moose where he scored four goals and five assists for nine points and 35 penalty minutes. The Montreal, PQ native collected his first-ever AHL four-point night (2G,2A) Feb. 23/07 @ Rochester. In 61 career games with Manitoba over the past two seasons, Bolduc has scored seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points and 70 penalty minutes. He also played in five Calder Cup playoff games with the Moose last season. Bolduc was drafted in the fourth round, 127th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft

Fortunus, 24, appeared in 72 games last year in his second season with the Moose. Last season, the La Prairie, PQ native scored two goals (including the game-winner Dec. 13/06 @ Houston) and 18 assists for 20 points and 64 penalty minutes. At the end of the year, Fortunus was named the winner of the team's Hardest Working Player Award. In 148 career games in Manitoba, he has scored five goals and 28 assists for 33 points and 100 penalty minutes. Fortunus was named the winner of the team's Unsung Hero Award following the 2005-06 season. In 26 career Calder Cup playoff games with the Moose, Fortunus has a goal and four assists for five points and 20 penalty minutes.

Kelly, 22, has appeared in three games with the Moose in his brief pro career. Back in 2005-06, he collected an assist after signing an amateur tryout contract with the Moose on Apr. 5/06. Last season, the Tottenham, ON native played in 59 games with the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL in his rookie year where he scored nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points and 40 penalty minutes. In six post-season games in Victoria in 2007, Kelly collected 13 penalty minutes.

Yeo, 21, appeared in 57 games last season as captain of the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen where he scored eight goals and 23 assists for 31 points and 64 penalty minutes. In 18 post-season games, the Prince Albert, SK native scored four goals and six assists for 12 points and 22 penalty minutes. In 140 career games after being traded to the Hitmen from Prince George in 2005, Yeo scored 17 goals and 36 assists for 53 points and 180 penalty minutes. In 228 total WHL games with the Cougars and Hitmen, Yeo collected 21 goals and 52 assists for 73 points and 280 penalty minutes.
