Condors Announce Front Office Staff Changes

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, who've already made headlines this summer with the announcement of six returnees from last year, have also been busy off the ice. Heading into the 2007-08 10th Anniversary Season, the Condors announced the following front office changes:

Returning as the club's director of communications and community service is Jeremy Zager, who served the majority of last season as the communications consultant. Zager, a two-time winner as the ECHL Media Relations Director of the Year, is the primary spokesperson for the Condors and oversees the communication and community relations departments, while also serving as a radio and television announcer alongside Jake Stevens. From November 2006 through June 2007, he worked full- time in San Diego for JMI Services, Inc., owned and operated by San Diego Padres Chairman John Moores. Originally joining the Condors staff in July 2006, Zager spent the prior seven years working for the San Diego Gulls.

Greg Lowe and Tim Statezni, honored by the ECHL as Ticket Executives of the Year for 2006-07, have both been promoted to senior account managers. Lowe originally came to Bakersfield in May 2005 after earning his bachelor's degree in marketing from Iowa State University. He was feted as the Condors Salesperson of the Year for the 2005-06 season. Statezni, who attended Highland High School in Bakersfield and graduated with a degree in sport psychology from Long Beach State, joined the Condors in the fall of 2005. He began his tenure as an inside sales representative and quickly moved up to account manager before his latest promotion.

Bill Allison and Brad Urbani were both hired in May as account managers, with their main responsibilities including handling season ticket packages and group sales. Allison, a Centerville, Ohio native, graduated from Indiana State University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in recreation and sports management and a minor in business administration. In 2007 he obtained his master's in sports management from Indiana State. Urbani a native of St. Louis, graduated from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville in May 2006 with a bachelor's degree in history and minor in marketing. In March 2007, Urbani graduated from Game Face Executive Sports Academy.

Dayna Cashion, entering her third season in Condorstown, is now director of ticket administration and client services. Cashion manages the Condors computer systems and ticket operations, including season ticket holder benefits, group sales marketing and database development. She graduated from Liberty University (Virginia) in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in business.

Megan Scarrone, who began as an intern with the club last summer, has been promoted to finance director and special projects coordinator. Scarrone is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the finance department and coordinating special projects, including fundraisers, auctions and sponsor events. The Bakersfield native attended Garces Memorial High School and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in recreation, parks and tourism administration and a concentration in special events management.

Christina Nolan, who joined the Condors midway through the 2006-07 season as an executive assistant, is now finance and client services manager. Nolan handles account payables and assists in areas of the financial department, while also serving as assistant to the team president and as assistant director of ticket administration and client services. A native of Bakersfield, Nolan attended Stockdale High School and graduated from Cal State University, Bakersfield in June.

Matt Kato was promoted to merchandise and team services manager after beginning his Condors tenure in October as a marketing and operations assistant. Kato now oversees the Condors Team Store, game merchandise and team services. Currently a senior at Cal State Bakersfield, Kato is set to earn his degree in business administration with an emphasis in sports management this coming December.

Andrew Crutcher, a locker room assistant in 2005-06 and operations assistant in 2006-07, has been named merchandising and game operations assistant. The Bakersfield native graduated from Centennial High School in 2006 and is currently attending Bakersfield College.

Liberty High graduate Kylie Gamez is now the graphic services and merchandising assistant after serving last season as an intern. Gamez, who was a game- day employee during the 2005-06 season, will be attending Bakersfield College in the fall.

Johnie Parham, also an operations assistant last season, was promoted to community relations assistant. He graduated from Centennial High in 2006 and is currently attending Bakersfield College.
