Wires Scores Twice to Help Lead Northern Conference to CHL All-Star Victory

Broomfield, Colo. - Rocky Mountain Rage All-Star forward Mark Wires scored twice and added an assist to help lead the Northern Conference to a come-from-behind 9-6 victory against the Southern Conference in last night's CHL All-Star Game at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La.
Trailing 5-3 late in the second period, the North moved within one in the final minute of the frame before tying the game at five 2:46 into the third. Wires, who entered the All-Star Break as the Rage's leading scorer with 24 points (10g-14a), then set-up the goal that put the North into the lead for good before tallying his second marker of the evening at 7:43 to give his side an 8-5 advantage.
Wires will meet the Rage in South Texas today as the club will begin the second half of the season on the road tomorrow and Saturday against the Corpus Christi Rayz and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, respectively. Fans can catch the live play-by-play action from both games on KLZ 560 AM beginning with the pre-game show at 5:50 p.m. MST on Friday and 6:20 p.m. MST on Saturday.
The Rage then return home on Tuesday, Jan. 23, to host the defending President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m.
