Mammoth signs Davidson

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has signed transition player and faceoff specialist Scott Davidson to a one-year contract. Davidson was the Mammoth's fourth-round selection in the 2005 National Lacrosse League entry draft and spent the 2006 season on the Mammoth practice squad.

Davidson, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound native of Guilford, Conn., attended the University of Denver and was a standout midfielder and faceoff man for the Pioneers from 2002-2005. He is a superintendent for Pulte Homes and lives in Glendale, Colo.

To keep its roster at 23 players, the Mammoth has released forward Gary Bining.
