
Knighthawks announce promotional schedule

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League have announced their promotional schedule for the 2007 season. The eight-game home slate includes seven major giveaways and a chance for fans to win season tickets, and a suite for a night. One of the highlights of the year will be the 1997 Knighthawks reunion as members of the coaching staff and former players will gather at the arena to celebrate Rochester's '97 championship.
The Knighthawks home schedule beings on Saturday, January 13th, as they host the Toronto Rock at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. As a special promotion for the home opener 13 "lucky" fans at the game will win a pair of season tickets to the remaining seven home games. Fans can simply fill out a ballot at the Knighthawks customer service booth behind section 119. The "Lucky 13" drawings will take place throughout the game.
The Knighthawks' season-long promotion also begins Saturday night, as the team will give fans the opportunity to win a "Suite" Prize this season. One person and nine guests will receive a suite for the Saturday, April 14th Knighthawks' home finale against the Buffalo Bandits. As part of the package, the winner will also receive dinner for all 10 people at Nathaniel's Pub prior to the game. Three contestants will compete each home game with the winners from each week returning on Saturday, April 7th to compete in the final competition.
Two people will be selected at each home game during the first-quarter break. Fans can enter by completing a ballot at the Knighthawks guest services table. The other contestant will be chosen randomly from the groups attending the game that night. The last participant will be selected at Nathaniel's Pub on the Tuesday night prior to that week's home game. The winner will be drawn from the ballot box, which will be permanently displayed at the bar.
The winners will enjoy the Knighthawks' regular-season home finale on April 14th. The day will start with dinner for 10 at Nathaniel's Pub at 251 Exchange Blvd. After dinner, the fans will head over to the arena to root on the Knighthawks from the comfort of their own suite. Food and drink is not included. That night. Rochester takes on its East Division rivals, the Buffalo Bandits, at 7:35 p.m.
The Knighthawks will honor their 1997 championship team on Saturday, January 27th. The Knighthawks will honor returning players and coaches at halftime. There will also be a postgame autograph session in the arena. Players attending the event include Tim Soudan, Randy Mearns, Tom Emmick, Steve Dietrich, Matt Riter and Regy Thorpe. Coaches Paul Day and Tom Cincebox will also be in attendance.
On Saturday, February 24th, the Knighthawks will hold a Teddy Bear Auction to benefit the CURE Childhood Cancer Association. That evening fans can bid on the bears made by the players at a silent auction at the Knighthawks-Arizona Sting game at The Blue Cross Arena. Build-A-Bear Workshop will also donate a bear signed by the entire team to help with the charitable event.
Rochester will hand out seven giveaway items during the season. On opening night, the first 10,000 fans will receive Thundersticks courtesy of Time Warner Cable. Fans can also receive Thundersticks at the Saturday, March 31st game against the Philadelphia Wings. On April 14th, the Knighthawks will hold their annual Awards Night. The first 10,000 fans will receive a team photo courtesy of Connors & Ferris. There will be a full team autograph session following the game. After each game, fans can attend the official postgame party at the Pig-N-Whistle at 7 Lawrence Street.
Nathaniel's Pub has also partnered with the Knighthawks to provide the "Nathaniel's Pub Card Collector's Series." The pub at 251 Exchange Blvd. will sponsor four player card giveaways during the season, featuring Knighthawk stars Pat O'Toole, John Grant, Shawn Williams and Regy Thorpe. On February 17th, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Pat O'Toole trading card. On February 24th, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Shawn Williams trading card. On March 31st, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Regy Thorpe trading card and on April 7th the first 1,000 fans will receive a John Grant card.

Saturday, January 13th -vs. Toronto Rock @ 7:35 PM - (HOME OPENER)
- On the Rochester Knighthawks' home opener, the team will hand out 10,000 Thundersticks courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
- To commemorate the team's 13 season, 13 lucky fans will win season tickets for the remainder of the season. Fans can sign up at the ticket table in the upper atrium lobby.
Saturday, January 27th vs. New York Titans @ 8:05 PM - (1997 TEAM REUNION)
- The organization will honor the 1997 Knighthawks Team for winning the Major Indoor Lacrosse League title 10 years ago.
- The Knighthawks will honor the returning players and coaches at halftime. There will also be a postgame autograph session in the arena.
Saturday, February 3rd vs. Chicago Shamrox @ 7:35 PM - (EXTREME NIGHT/IRISH NIGHT)
- Watch Pat O'Toole and the Rochester Irish take on the Shamrox of Chicago
- Fans can listen to Irish music and enjoy Irish dancing
- Extreme sports on display at the arena
- Lacrosse clinic for kids from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. (grades three to six)
- The first 5,000 fans will receive a Pellegrino's coupons
- The first 5,000 fans will receive World Gym memberships
Saturday, February 17th vs. Portland LumberJax @ 7:35 PM - (KIDS NIGHT)
- The first 1,000 fans will receive a Pat O'Toole trading card courtesy of Nathaniel's Pub
- Kids can meet the Amerks mascot, The Moose, and Rex the Raging Rhino
- Lacrosse clinic for kids from 9:00 11:00 a.m.
(kindergarten to second grade or less than two years experience)
- Fifth to Sixth Grade Lacrosse Tournament (1:30 to 5:00 p.m.)
- NLL Scoop-n-shoot competition (5:00 to 6:00 p.m.)
Saturday, February 24th vs. Arizona Sting @ 8:05 PM - (CURE TEDDY BEAR AUCTION)
- Bears built by players will be auctioned off during the game. All the proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to CURE Childhood Cancer Association.
- The first 1,000 fans will receive a Shawn Williams trading card courtesy of Nathaniel's Pub
- The first 5,000 fans will receive a coupon from The Distillery
- Girl's lacrosse clinic from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
