Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs (19-10-1-1) will play five games in six nights this week. First Hamilton travels to Rochester on Tuesday, December 26th for a tilt with the Americans (21-7-1-0) at 7:05 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. The Bulldogs then take on the Toronto Marlies (13-15-2-2) at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum on Friday, December 29th. The 'Dogs will finish off their weekly schedule with two games on the weekend against the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena on Saturday, December 30th at 7:00 p.m. and versus the Peoria Rivermen at 6:00 p.m. on New Years Eve (Sunday, December 31st).

Hamilton posted a 2-0-1-0 record in three games last week. The Bulldogs opened the week with two games in Manitoba against the Moose, posting a 2-1 overtime loss on Wednesday (Dec. 20) and a 4-3 shootout win on Thursday (Dec 21). The Bulldogs then played their third game in as many nights, defeating the Albany River Rats 2-1 at Copps Coliseum on Friday (Dec. 22). The 'Dogs are currently in second place in the North Division Standings with 40 points in 31 games this season.

- RW Andrei Kostitsyn has 13 points (5-8-13) in his last ten games and is currently second on the Bulldogs in scoring with 27 points (10-17-27), 23 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating in 26 games this season
- C Maxim Lapierre was recalled by Montreal on December 11th and appeared in four games with the Canadiens, posting four points (3-1-4) and a plus-5 rating before being reassigned on December 20th and picking up an assist on December 22nd in a 2-1 win over Albany
- RW Jonathan Ferland played in his 200th career AHL game on December 20th against the Manitoba Moose
