OTTAWA - Lynx season ticket holder Fred Costin can Escape to a Dream Vacation, care of MKIescapes, a division of MKI Travel & Conference Management, and the Ottawa Lynx.

Costin, a Lynx season ticket holder since 1993, has won $2,500 towards a dream vacation, courtesy of MKIescapes. Tom Howarth of McCay, Duff & Company LLP drew Costin's name from close to 1,000 ballots. Lynx fans earned ballots when they pre-paid for 2007 ticket packages before September 22, 2006.

"I'm very excited and very surprised," said Costin, who says he doesn't know where he will go for his trip. "I'm also very grateful to the Ottawa Lynx and to the travel agency."

The Lynx awarded the grand prize at an event at Chances R Restaurant at College Square, one of the Lynx Designated Hotspots, this afternoon. Costin was joined by Skratch, the Lynx mascot, as well as representatives from the Ottawa Lynx and MKIescapes who helped wish him bon voyage in style.

"MKI Travel & Conference Management is proud to partner with a professional organization such as the Ottawa Lynx," said Chris Greenwood, Vice President of Operation with MKI Travel and Conference Management. "Increased season ticket sales and ongoing community support help to ensure financial stability of any professional sport and event organization. Working with Kyle and his team has been our pleasure and we wish the Ottawa Lynx great success leading up to the 2007 season. MKI will be there next year to cheer on our team!"

"It's great that MKIescapes partnered with us to allow us to send one of our season-ticket holders on a trip like this," said Lynx General Manager Kyle Bostwick. "We all hope Fred has a great trip!"
