Wills and Craig to broadcast Rookie Tournament final Tuesday

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced that the championship game of the Rookie Tournament between the Bulldogs' NHL Affiliate, the Montreal Canadiens (2-1), and the Toronto Maple Leafs (3-0) will be broadcast live on the Internet. The contest will take place on Tuesday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto.

Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills and Colour Commentator Al Craig will provide exclusive coverage of the final game beginning with the pre-game show at 3:45 p.m. Fans can access a link which will allow them to listen to the game for free by visiting the Bulldogs website at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com or the Canadiens website at www.canadiens.com.

Montreal opened the tournament with a 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers on Friday, September 8, before falling to the Maple Leafs 6-5 in overtime on Saturday, September 9. The Canadiens wrapped up the round robin by defeating the York University Lions 15-1 on Monday.

Florida finished the tournament with a record of 1-2, while York was 0-3. These two teams will meet in a game to decide which club will finish in third place on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Ricoh Coliseum.

The Bulldogs will open their 11th American Hockey League season on Friday, October 6th, 2006 at 7:30 p.m., when they will take on their North Division rival the Manitoba Moose at Copps Coliseum.
