
Admirals Hire Masters as New Equipment Manager

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals have announced that Rob Masters will be their new equipment manager. Masters replaces former Equipment Manager Russ Holden, who has accepted a job with the Admirals' NHL parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks.
Masters, 26, had been the Equipment Manager with the Colorado College men's ice hockey and women's soccer teams for the past five seasons. The Richfield, Minnesota, native earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2001. While there, Masters also served as the head student manager for the hockey team.
Holden served one season as the Admirals Equipment manager. He will become an assistant equipment manager with the Blackhawks. Prior to joining Norfolk, Holden served six seasons in the ECHL with the Jackson Bandits, Louisiana IceGators and Reading Royals. He was the ECHL's Equipment Manager of the Year with Reading in 2004-05, sharing the honor with the Florida Everblades' John Jennings.
The Admirals open their seventh season of AHL hockey in Philadelphia on October 6 before heading to Scope for their home opener on Friday, October 13 versus the Springfield Falcons at 7:15 p.m. Season tickets, 20-game plans, ten-packs and group tickets are on sale now through the Admirals' office and through the Admirals' website.
