Brockton starting pitcher Rolando Viera struck out nine Quebec batters and allowed two runs, just one earned, on eight hits through 6.2 innings to pick up his third win of the season. 2B Mike Scanzano led the Rox at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, including his fourth double of the year. Brockton scored two runs in the first inning and would never trail in the game. The Rox piled on two more in the fourth, thanks to back-to-back RBI singles from SS Eugene Julien, who was 2-for-4, and Scanzano. Quebec LF Benoit Emond led the Capitales offense in the losing effort, going 2-for-4 and driving in both of his team's runs.

W: Chris Farley (3-2) L: Joe Orloski (3-3) S: NONE
HR: NS-Andrew Wishy (2)
North Shore starting pitcher Chris Farley tossed a two-hit shutout to improve his record on the season to 3-2, striking out three in the win. The Spirit did all of its scoring in the fourth via a three-run home run off the bat of RF Andrew Wishy. The homer was Wishy's second of the season and was his only hit of the day. 2B Ryan Bethel and DH Jeff Brooks were each 2-for-4 to lead the team in hits. With the loss, New Jersey falls a game below .500. C Jason Belcher and 1B Bill Peavey each had a hit, but were the only ones who seemed able to figure out Farley, who only faced 30 batters in the game.

Nashua 8, Worcester 1
@ Nashua, NH. Time: 2:33 Attendance: 1,234
W: Mark Hamilton (3-3) L: Reid Willett (2-2) S: NONE
HR: NP-Glenn Murray (3)
Mark Hamilton was one of two pitchers to notch a complete game victory, allowing just one run, earned, on three hits and seven strike outs to pick up his third win of the year. Hamilton faced just five hitters more than the maximum and plenty of run support from his offense. With the game tied 1-1, the Pride unloaded on Worcester starter Reid Willett and ended the inning having posted six runs. DH Glen Murray led the Pride at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs. Nashua got multi-hit games from three others en route to their 12th win of the season. Worcester entered the game in first place in the Can-Am League, but drop to second with the loss.

New Haven County 6, Sussex 2
@ Augusta, NJ. Time: 3:58 Attendance: 1,015
W: Ryan Bonesio (1-2) L: Jonathan Musialowski (0-2) S: NONE
HR: NH-Derrick Gibson (5)
New Haven County was able to break ahead late in the game behind solid pitching from their starter Rolando Valles and the relieving corps of Ryan Bonesio and Justin Knoff and improve their record to 20-13. With the win, the Cutters jump Worcester, who lost 8-1 to Nashua earlier last night, for the top spot in the Can-Am League. Valles was solid, allowing two unearned runs through have efficient innings, but did not factor in the decision. Bonesio came on in relief in the sixth and allowed three hits, but came out unscathed and notched his first win of the year. With the loss, Sussex falls to 18-14 and drops to 1.5 games behind New Haven County in the standings.
