GAME SUMMARIES:

Game Three - Barrie 6 @ Brampton 1

The Barrie Colts put in a solid effort from beginning to end as they posted a 6-1 victory Sunday at the Powerade Centre to take a 2-1 series lead with game four scheduled for tonight at the Molson Centre...Ryan Hamilton led the way in game two with three goals (4,5,6) and one assist, and Mike Roelofsen (2), Travis Fuller (8) and Hunter Tremblay (1) added singles....The Colts were especially strong on the special teams Sunday, as they went 5-for-10 on the powerplay and scored one shorthanded goal while killing off all seven Battalion man-advantages....Dan LaCosta made 28 saves and recorded his second consecutive victory in goal....The Colts built a 3-1 lead through one period, and then took command with Roelofsen's goal being scored on the tail end of a Battalion powerplay, that originally started as a 5-on-3 advantage....Jakub Petruzalek recorded three assists, and Bryan Little and Dave Pszenczny also had multi-point nights with two assists each

Game Two - Brampton 1 @ Barrie 4

The Barrie Colts evened their Eastern Conference Semifinal series with the Brampton Battalion as they scored a 4-1 victory Friday night in front of 3,933 jubilant fans at the Barrie Molson Centre....After a sluggish start to the series in game one, the Colts came out with a solid effort Friday as they opened up a 3-0 lead through two periods....Jakub Petruzalek (3,4) and Andrew Marshall (1,2) led the way offensively for the Colts with two goals apiece, and Dan LaCosta made 23 saves to record his first victory of the post-season....Travis Fuller, with a pair, Bryan Little, Dave Pszenczny and Ryan Hamilton each added assists for the Colts, who improved their home record to 3-0 in the playoffs....Aaron Snow (3) scored Brampton's lone goal as he broke a Dan LaCosta shutout on a powerplay with just 2:35 left in the final period

Game One - Barrie 1 @ Brampton 4

The Barrie Colts Thursday night dropped game one of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series by a score of 4-1 to the Brampton Battalion....After eight days without game action, the Colts appeared to have their game legs back as they opened up a 1-0 lead through one period...The Battalion then took control as they tallied for two in the second and two more in the third to go and establish a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series...Dave Pszenczny (2) scored Barrie's lone goal, as he one-timed a point shot on a nice feed from Jakub Petruzalek with just 25 seconds left to go in the opening frame....Luch Aquino led the way for the home club Thursday as he registered two goals and one assist to increase his playoff point lead to 16 points (7g-9a)....Dan LaCosta made his return to the crease for the Colts....The 19-year old netminder made 22 saves and recorded his first loss of the 2006 post-season
