ST. PAUL, Minnesota - The Toronto Rock nearly solidified their playoff hopes last night but surrendered 8 unanswered goals in the second half to drop a nailbiter, 10-9 at the XCEL Energy Centre April 1.
Toronto opened up with a 5-1 lead and led by as many as seven goals in the second half.
However, Hagersville, Ont., native Matt Disher replaced starting Swarm goalie Nick Patterson after Toronto's 8th goal and only allowed one goal on 13 shots in lifting his team to victory.
Ryan Ward led the Swarm with a goal and four assists, while Mark Miyashita scored the game winner with 1:43 left in the game. Colin Doyle had four goals and two assists for Toronto.
