October 20, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Miami Majesty News Release

Sunrise, FL. Individual game tickets for the ABA Florida Pit Bulls inaugural season are now on sale. Be a part of history as legendary five-time NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway makes his return to professional basketball in South Florida as player/coach and part owner of the Pit Bulls. Throughout the 18-game home slate, the Pit Bulls will offer affordable family entertainment by combining exciting "old school" ABA basketball action with rousing post-game musical entertainment.

Individual game tickets for the Pit Bulls 18 home games start as low as $15 for singles or $12 for groups. Season ticket packages are still available and start as low as $11 per game for lower bowl seats. All ticket prices include both the Pit Bulls games and the post-game concert series.

Tickets for Pit Bulls games can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone (954 523 3309 in Broward County, 305 358 5885 in Dade County and 561 966 3309 in Palm Beach County), at www.ticketmaster.com and the Bank Atlantic Center box office or by calling 888 4 TIM TIX.

Florida Pit Bulls post-game concerts will feature some of the hottest hip-hop, Latin and pop acts around including Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, Trick Daddy, Akon and 112.

"The post-game concert series is a tremendous additional entertainment feature for Florida Pit Bulls games," Hardaway said. "It's something our fans can really look forward to. They'll see great basketball and a top notch live concert all in the same night, all for the price of one. You can't beat it."

Angela Rizzi, co-owner and Vice President of ABA Entertainment added, "This is the kind of quality entertainment component that the ABA will feature throughout the league, with many more great shows to follow."

The post-game concerts will take place immediately following the "Mike Check" hip-hop talent TV show where game attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite local entertainers who are competing for a record deal. "Mike Check" is the brainchild of Mike Sherman, who's "The Mike Sherman Show" can be seen locally on UPN 33. "Mike Check" will be filmed live, exclusively at every Pit Bulls home game and is expected to air on television sometime in December.

The headline performers for the remaining 12 post-game concerts will be announced at a later date. The Florida Pit Bulls tip off their 2005-2006 home schedule on Saturday, November 5th against the Orange County Buzz. Other home contests include November 15th vs Birmingham Magicians, November 21st vs Atlanta Vision and November 29th vs. Charlotte Krunk.
