ABA resumes ABA auction site

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the league will resume offering sports and entertainment memorabelia on their new auction website - www.abaauctions.com. The auctions will once again allow the ABA to raise money for many causes including hurricane disaster victims through the American Red Cross and Salvation Army. It is important to get registered as a user at www.abaauctions.com so that you can receive important updates and information on the auctions and on charitable causes. The ABA plans to run many special auctions throughout the season.

According to Scott Templin, ABA Auction Supervisor, "The ABA Auctions will be offering one of a kind items from the new and original ABA along with many other types of sports and entertainment memorabelia. Members will also be allowed to post their own items up for bid as long as the auctions comply with the requirements established by the ABA Auction website."

Templin added, "The ABA Auctions also will allow different sports figures and entertainers the opportunity to have their own Store Fronts. Many musicians will have their CD's for sale in their Store Fronts and up for bid as well. If anyone would like to donate any sports and entertainment memorabelia, please email donations@abaauctions.com."

"Last season, proceeds from the ABA Auction were used to supply ABA red, white and blue balls to inner city youth basketball programs. We intend to continue that program as well as to donate funds for various other causes," said Joe Newman, ABA CEO. "In fact, this is only one of many charitable programs the league is undertaking. The ABA is truly dedicated to helping others." For more information, email joenewman@abalive.com or visit www.abalive.com. --
