Hurricane Katrina relief effort at Pfitzner Stadium

Woodbridge, VA - The Potomac Nationals have joined The American Red Cross in its effort to bring relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Carolina League Affiliate of the Washington Nationals will donate 50% of all gate ticket sales receipts from the final three regular season games against Winston-Salem on September 3rd, 4th and 5th to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In addition, the Nationals will have a table set up in the concourse area of Pfitzner Stadium during the games for any fans that wish to make a cash donation to the relief effort. Fans who donate $10 or more will receive a free Potomac Nationals logo baseball with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

Saturday's game will begin at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to enter the stadium Saturday will receive a free Potomac Nationals lanyard courtesy of the Dale City Volunteer Fire Department. The final fireworks show of the season, sponsored by DCVFD, will take place after the game. Sunday is Fan Appreciation Night, with the game beginning at 6:35 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark Sunday will receive a free Potomac Nationals team photo. Monday's game has a special afternoon start time of 1:35 p.m. It is also the final ‘Dollar Day' of the season presented by The Washington Post. Dollar Day features $1 tickets, $1 hot dogs, $1 Pepsi and $1 popcorn.
