Barnstormers to present check to Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center
July 18, 2005 - Atlantic League (AtL)
Lancaster Stormers News Release
The Lancaster Barnstormers will present a check in the amount of $11,325 to the Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center on Tuesday, July 19. The proceeds were generated from the team's Beach Jersey Auction on June 25.
Barnstormers mascot, Cylo, along with Director of Public Affairs Andy Frankel and Marketing Manager Jason Jesberger, will be visiting Camp Schreiber at the Church of the Apostles at 1:00 for this check presentation.
During the Barnstormers Beach Night on June 25, fans bid on special, beach-themed jerseys that were worn by the Barnstormers during their game against Bridgeport. Winning bidders had an opportunity to come down on the field following the game to have their jersey signed by, and picture taken with, Barnstormers players. Five jerseys sold for $1,000 or more.
The Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center is a not-for-profit organization that provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with disabilities and developmental delays.
The Barnstormers will hold another jersey auction later in the season during "Tribute to the Red Roses" Day on September 23, when the team will be wearing old-fashioned Red Roses jerseys.
