
CHL All-Star Game on Radio in Albuquerque Tomorrow

ALBUQUERQUE â The New Mexico Scorpions announced today that the 2005 Central Hockey League All-Star Game can be heard in the Albuquerque area on Sports Radio 610 The Sports Animal (KNML-AM). Scheduled for this Wednesday, Jan. 12, the game will be played at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, Tex., home of the defending CHL champion Laredo Bucks.
Faceoff for Wednesday's game is 6:30 p.m. The CHL Radio Network, which includes stations across CHL markets, will carry the game. John Brooks, the voice of the Oklahoma City Blazers, Chris Due, voice of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Josh Bogorad, voice of fellow WD Sports franchise Corpus Christi Rayz, will handle the broadcast.
The Scorpions return to action following the All-Star break as they host the league-leading Wichita Thunder this Friday, Jan. 14 and Saturday, Jan. 15 at Tingley Coliseum. Both games start at 7:05 p.m., and Friday's game will be broadcast on Sports Radio 610 The Sports Animal and on the Internet at www.scorpionshockey.com and www.broadcastmonsters.com beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Voice of the Scorpions Mike Sheehan.
Friday's game is Tomenstock Koozy Night to the first 1,500 fans. After the game, the Scorpions will kick off their Post-Game Concert Series with a live concert by the HellDrivers. Friday's game will be broadcast on Sports Radio 610 The Sports Animal and on the Internet at www.scorpionshockey.com and www.broadcastmonsters.com. Airtime is 6:50 p.m. with the Voice of the Scorpions Mike Sheehan. Saturday's game is NASCAR Night, as fans wearing NASCAR apparel can get $3 off at the Tingley box office.
The Scorpions are also at home on Monday, Jan. 17 against the Memphis RiverKings. Faceoff for that game is 2:05 p.m. Comcast Family 4-Packs return for that game, as families can purchase four grandstand tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas all for $44. Once again, kids 15 and under will get into the Jan. 17 game for just $6. Finally, anybody with Martin, Luther or King in their name can get a half-price grandstand ticket at the Tingley box office with valid I.D.
Tickets for all Scorpions regular season home games are available at the Scorpions Team Store, located at 6300 San Mateo NE at the corner of San Mateo and Academy in the Far North Shopping Center, and any TicketMaster outlet. Single-game tickets start as low as $11.
