October 23, 2016 - HERSHEY, Pa. - The 2016-17 chapter of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Hershey Bears rivalry kicked off in dramatic fashion, with the Penguins earning a 2-1 overtime win at Giant Center on Sunday evening. Ethan Prow Reassigned to Penguins from Wheeling

October 22, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) have reassigned defenseman Ethan Prow to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL). Prow, in his first full season of pro hockey, spent last year at St. Cloud State University, where he tied the Huskies program record for single-season assists (30, Bret Hedican) and led all NCAA defensemen with 38 points. October 21, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins ran into a strong goaltending performance and were handed their first defeat of the season by a score of 1-0 on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
