August 22, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The full 2016-17 American Hockey League regular season schedule was announced this afternoon, and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will officially begin their 18th season on Saturday, October 15, when they face off with the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. August 11, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Jarrett Burton to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. This is the first AHL contract of his professional career. Burton saw action in 23 games with the Penguins last season while playing under a professional tryout contract. Penguins Re-Sign Shavertown Native Patrick Mcgrath

August 9, 2016 - WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Patrick McGrath to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season. A native of Shavertown, Pa., McGrath became the first local hockey player to join the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins when he signed a professional tryout agreement with the team on December 26, 2014.
