Game Keys - The Zephyrs sent 11 hitters to the plate in the top of the tenth inning scoring six times to defeat Nashville 11-5 on Sunday afternoon. The Z's Gaby Sanchez homered and drove in three and Manny Mayorson had three hits and three RBI for the 3-1 Zephyrs. The Z's jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the game, but Nashville answered with three in the sixth inning and two in the seventh to tie the contest. The tenth started off with a pinch hit single from Michael Ryan. New Orleans added a pair of bunts to load the bases and Dave Matranga hit a bases loaded single off the third basemans glove to score a pair and break the tie. The Z's pounded out a season high 11 runs and 16 hits. Tim Wood pitched two scoreless innings for the win. Matt ginter allowed six runs in one inning of relief and took the loss for the Sounds. Z's starter Dallas Trahern pitched 5.2 innings allowed three runs on six hits in a no decision.

Game Notes: The Z's utilized three double plays in the game. The first place Zephyrs improve to 3-1 and its third consecutive season that the Zephyrs have won three of four over the Sounds to start the season. Coming Up: The Zephyrs travel to Memphis and meet the Redbirds at 7PM on Monday at AutoZone Park. New Orleans will start RH Daniel Barone against RH Blake Hawksworth. RADIO: AM 690 WIST.
