
Zephyrs Begin Four-Game Homestand Tomorrow

Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs will kick off their third homestand on Thursday at 7:00PM, a four-game swing in which they will play the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, which was formerly the parent club of the Zephyrs from 1997 to 2004.
The Zephyrs currently sit at 11-9 and third in the Pacific Coast League American South Division, four games out of first place and 3.5 games ahead of the Express. Over the Zephyrs four-game road trip to Omaha, infielder Fernando Tatis climbed into the lead in the Pacific Coast League with eight home runs, hitting two homers in the Zephyrs April 19th victory over the Omaha Royals.
The series pitching matchups are as follows:
Thursday 7pm vs. Round Rock: LH Adam Bostick (1-1) vs. RH Runelvys Hernandez (0-1)
Friday 7pm vs. Round Rock: RH Tony Armas (1-0) vs. LH Josh Muecke (1-2)
Saturday 7pm vs. Round Rock: RH Ruddy Lugo (2-1) vs. RH Chad Reineke (0-2)
Sunday 2pm vs. Round Rock: RH Jose Diaz (1-2) vs. RH Jack Cassel (1-1)
The Zephyrs will feature a number of interesting promotions during the homestand, including wearing special jerseys on Friday at 7pm in the style of the New York Mets that will be auctioned off during the game to benefit Healthy Lifestyle Choices and will be presented by players to the winning bidders on the field immediately following the game. After the jersey presentation the team will have its traditional Friday fireworks show. Another featured promotion will be Sunday at 2pm with 'Bark in the Park sponsored by Raising Cane's,' where fans can bring their dogs to the game and sit on the levee. There will be a special 'Bark in the Park' t-shirt giveaway to early-arriving dog owners at the game as well.
