New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Metairie, LA - The Zephyrs have announced their 2006 marketing slogan: "Proud to call New Orleans home." The new slogan will appear in all Zephyrs printed materials, advertising campaigns and on merchandise.
When the Zephyrs take the field on April 6th, 2006 they will be the first professional team to begin their season in the Greater New Orleans area since Hurricane Katrina. The slogan was chosen to pay homage to New Orleans, still recovering from the hurricane's devastation.
"I think the slogan speaks for itself," said Zephyrs GM Mike Schline. "We are very proud of being in New Orleans and standing by this city. This city has been great to the Zephyrs and we plan on being here for the rebuilding process and making New Orleans better than ever."
The Z's will open on April 6th against the Round Rock Express in a 7:00 PM game.
