Yuma Loses for Only Second Time
June 4, 2008 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Yuma Scorpions News Release
The Yuma Scorpions were unable to calm down the Edmonton Cracker Cats bats and lose the first game in this series 10-7. Although the Scorpions lost this game, their hot offense continued to shine through.
This was the first game of a 3 game series, and ultimately 6 games this week. The Cracker Cats are making their first visit to the United States as a part of the Golden Baseball League.
We urge all fans to come out and cheer on the Scorpions as we play against our fans from the north. Any Canadian citizen will receive entry to the game for only 1 dollar. Also, the game on Wednesday June 4, 2008 will be Canadian Bacon night, where the first 500 fans will receive Canadian Bacon. Then on Thursday June 5, 2008 the Scorpions will be having dress like a Canadian Day. There will be a contest, and the winner will receive two free season tickets for the rest of the year.
