Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (0-0) hosted the Stockton Lightning (0-1) in their first game of the season.

The Yard Dawgz wasted no time getting on the board. On a 43-yard pass from quarterback Craig Stickland, wide receiver/defensive back Al Hunt put Oklahoma City's first points on the board and the Yard Dawgz didn't look back.

Stockton controlled the ball for the majority of the first-half but the score did not show it. At the end of the half Oklahoma City led 28- 17.

The Yard Dawgz defense was led by Oliver Fletcher who collected 9 tackles and 1 interception.

Strickland found Hunt in the endzone 4 four times. Strickland threw for 257 yards and 8 touchdowns. While hunt recorded 8 receptions for 178 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Yard Dawgz 60-50 win over Stockton.

The Lightning were led by quarterback Josh Blankenship who threw for 386 yards and 7 touchdowns. Stockton's leading receiver George Williams had 12 catches for 202 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz travel to Amarillo next week to take on the Dusters. Amarillo knocked Oklahoma City out of the first round of the playoffs last season, so the Yard Dawgz are ready for pay back.

Oklahoma City will return to the Ford Center when they take on the Amarillo Dusters on April 29th.
