Yard Dawgz Ready For 2010

Oklahoma City - The League Office of Arena Football One announced today, the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and other member teams will commence the signing of both Head Coaches and players beginning November 1, 2009.

The Yard Dawgz are given league contracts to sign both Head Coaches and players. These league contracts are submitted to the Arena Football One football operations department for ultimate approval and execution.

"We are pleased to begin the process of signing coaches and players," said Commissioner Jerry Kurz. "This process will be the culmination and final stages in solidifying the highest caliber and only professional playing of Arena Football."

The Yard Dawgz front office has worked hard in preparation for the arrival of the official beginning for the inaugural 2010 Arena Football One League season. Since the completion of last season, the staff has scouted and created a list of targeted players.

"Our goal is to put together a coaching staff and football team that are capable of bringing an arena football championship to Oklahoma City." General Manager Christie Cook said. "We are excited about our seventh season of arena football and look forward to announcing the signing of our 2010 coaching staff and key players in the upcoming weeks."

The Yard Dawgz will play all their 2010 home games at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City. The regular season begins in April and runs through July with playoffs in August.
