The Yard Dawgz improve to 1-1 with the victory and the Twisters drop to 0-1. Yard Dawgz quarterback Craig Strickland ended the game with 352 yards passing making him the first af2 player to eclipse the 15,000 passing yards mark. Strickland now has 15,048 yards passing in his af2 career.

B.J. Barre led the Yard Dawgz on the night. Barre would end the game with four catches for 114 yards and four touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball and one interception on the defensive side. Yard Dawgz quarterback Craig Strickland finished the game 22-for-40 and ten touchdowns.

The Yard Dawgz would fall behind further when they would turn the ball over the next two possessions. The first was a Strickland interception in the end zone that was returned 53-yards by Byron Douzart for a touchdown and the next was after a Yard Dawgz fumble deep in their own end, which the Twisters would turn into a touchdown on a Motley to Williams pass giving the Twisters a 28-3 lead.

The Yard Dawgz would come right back finishing the second quarter by outscoring the Twisters 27-14 to pull within twelve points at the end of the first half. The Yard Dawgz would come out of the gates fast in the second half by scoring the first four touchdowns of the half and shutting out the Twisters until the 8:29 mark of the fourth quarter to take control of the game for good. The Twisters made the game close with a touchdown pass from Chris Windsor to Shakoor Bryant making the score 51-48 after the Twisters failed on a two-point conversion, but the Twisters could not get any closer as the Yard Dawgz defense continued to stifle the Twisters offense in the second half.
