Yard Dawgz Partner With Star Spencer High School

OKLAHOMA CITY-- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz have partnered with Star Spencer High School in two upcoming events to help raise funds to purchase their football State Championship rings.
"This opportunity to give back to our community was one that we could not turn down. We understand that football is our stage and to be able to support Oklahoma City was an absolute no brainer. We are proud to contribute to such a great cause and the hard work of the Star Spencer community and school system," said Yard Dawgz Head Coach Sparky McEwen.
A charity basketball game will be held at the Star Spencer High School gym on March 12 at 1:30 p.m. Star Spencer and Rogers Middle School staff will compete against the Yard Dawgz coaches and players. Donations will be accepted at the door and all proceeds will benefit the Star Spencer High School football program.
"We are greatly appreciative of the Yard Dawgz help. It is a great example of big brother helping little brother in Oklahoma City," said Football Coach Darrell Hall.
Star Spencer will also be selling tickets to the Yard Dawgz home opener on April 3, 2010, to raise a majority of the funds needed to purchase the rings. The Yard Dawgz will present the rings during halftime of their home opener. The Star Spencer High School band will also be performing during halftime.
