Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (7-6) stayed at #11 in the latest af2 Coaches Poll, after a disappointing loss to #1 ranked, Spokane Shock (12-0). The Yard Dawgz rode a three game win streak into Spokane, but came up short in the second half.

The first half of the game was close with the Yard Dawgz scoring four times on the ground. The Shock answered back four times leaving the score, 28-28 at halftime. As both teams came out of the break the Shock showed why they have been ranked #1 for a record breaking 16 straight weeks. They held the Yard Dawgz scoreless in the second half for the first time this year. The Shock scored 33 unanswered points beating Oklahoma City, 61-28.
The Yard Dawgz look to come out strong this week and seek revenge against the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. Earlier in the year, Rio Grande Valley snuck out of Oklahoma City with a 74-73 win. The Yard Dawgz look to avenge the loss Friday, July 3rd, 2009, with kickoff at 7:30.
The Dawgz return home Saturday, July 11, to take on the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings in their final home game of the regular season, at the Cox Convention Center.
