
Yankees-Red Sox Rivalry Extends to Empire State and Pawtucket at Frontier Field

ROCHESTER, NY - The century-long Yankees-Red Sox rivalry will extend to Empire State and Pawtucket once again at Frontier Field when the two teams square off Friday in Game 3 of their first-round series of the International League playoffs. Gametime is 7:05 p.m. and gates open at 6:00 p.m. Game 4, if necessary, would be Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at Frontier Field, and Game 5, if necessary, would be Sunday at 6:05 p.m. at Frontier Field.
Tickets are currently on sale for only Game 3. Should a Game 4 be necessary, tickets will go on sale either the morning of Friday, September 7 or Saturday, September 8, whenever the game is first guaranteed. Should a Game 5 be necessary, tickets will go on sale the morning of Sunday, September 9. Tickets for Game 3 can be purchased at the Frontier Field box office, by calling (585) 423-WING (9464), or online at RedWingsBaseball.com. Advanced ticket prices are the same as regular-season games: $11.00 for Premium, $9.50 for Upper Box, and $7.00 for Reserved.
All games will feature special promotions and rivalry food specials at concession stands.
Fans are encouraged to wear their Yankees and Red Sox gear for both games. Those in attendance with their Yankees and Red Sox clothing will have a chance to be randomly selected to participate in special promotions including being a ballboy/ballgirl for an inning, reading the starting lineups on the public address system from the field prior to the games, and serving as a public address announcer for an inning from the press box.

The Yankees in 2012 played 38 regular-season home games at Frontier Field as PNC Field in Moosic, Pennsylvania undergoes major renovations.
