Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release

Reegie Corona's eighth inning solo homerun was all the offense the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees' offense could muster Sunday afternoon, as the team fell 4-1 to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

IronPigs starter Nate Bump held the Yankees scoreless through 3 1/3 innings before he injured his elbow after being hit by an Eduardo Nunez line drive.

Brandon Duckworth entered the game for Lehigh Valley and picked up where Bump left off, going four innings and allowing just three hits-including Corona's solo shot.

Romulo Sanchez started the game for the Yankees and struggled en route to his sixth loss of the year.

The righty gave up just one run, but lasted only 4 2/3 innings while walking five batters.

Sanchez has not pitched six innings in a game since May 19, and is 1-4 with a 5.25 ERA since that time.

The Yankees return home Monday night to begin a four-game set with Pawtucket.
