Yager, Unger, Burnett & Canada Red Finish up Round Robin in Ottawa

After falling in their opening game of the 2021 Capital City Challenge, Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Yager, goalie Jackson Unger, Assistant Coach Gord Burnett and Canada Red have finished the round robin strong in Ottawa with back-to-back wins.

Canada Red dropped its opener, 7-2, to Canada Black on Friday, but responded with a 7-0 win over the Canadian national women's team on Saturday.

Canada Red finished off the round robin with a 4-2 victory over Canada White on Sunday to finish at 2-1.

Yager has three goals and four points through three games with Canada Red. He's scored in every game so far.

Unger pitched a 22-save shutout in Saturday's win over the Canadian national women's team and then turned away 26 shots for Canada Red in Sunday's win against Canada White.

The round robin wraps up at the tournament on Monday with Canada White facing off with Canada Black.

The semifinal goes on Tuesday, followed by the medal games on Wednesday in Ottawa.
