ATLANTA --The Orlando Starz suffered their second shutout of the season Saturday as the Atlanta Xplosion posted a 39-0 Independent Women's Football League victory at Clark Atlanta University.
Sue Cackowski and Angela Rowe connected on two touchdown passes, and Kristal Holmes rushed for 136 yards and the game's first touchdown for the Xplosion.
The Starz (0-2) struggled again on offense, managing just three first downs and 66 total yards. Quarterback Kahs Sky Deer threw for 86 yards, but was sacked three times and threw four interceptions.
Orlando's defense did register four turnovers, including two fumble recoveries by Jana Vanderloop. Laurie Aversano had 12 tackles and a sack.
Orlando returns to action May 3 at the Miami Fury.
