Xplorers Return To DCC Parking Lot

SOUTHAVEN, Miss â The Memphis Xplorers announced today that practice will return to the southeast corner parking lot of the DeSoto Civic Center. The artificial turf field is laid out on top of the pavement with walls surrounding the east end of the field. The Xplorers open the 2003 af2 regular season on April 5th at Columbus, GA. The Xplorers shifted their practices over the past weekend to the natural grass field at Southaven High School, but are eager to get back on a faster track.
"It is good to be back on the turf," said Xplorers coach Danton Barto. "It really helps us get an edge on the competition to be able to practice on our actual game field."
The Xplorers will practice at 8:15 p.m. Monday â Friday this week.
